Leadership

 
There are many styles of leadership, but all effective leaders motivate and inspire others.   
 
We believe that leaders at all levels can discover and refine their leaderships skills and competencies to show up fully and authentically in their work and lives, and that the skills of leadership can be taught and learned at all stages of their careers. Emotional intelligence, self awareness, finely tuned communication skills, and courage are essential for effective leadership at all levels in any organization, and these concepts are at the heart of our approach to leadership development. 
 
Rather than impose thereotical concepts of leadership onto individuals and teams, we work with our clients to identify and refine existing leadership strengths and values, develop emerging leaders from within the organization, and task leaders at all levels with the development of new leaders. 
 
Our workshops and programs integrate the organizational culture and leadership values, utilize adjacent levels of management, promote inclusion and diversity, and support strategic objectives. Because leaders work in dynamic environments and with diverse styles and perspectives, we encourage leaders at all levels to be in the same workshops and programs where they can learn and apply the concepts of collaborative leadership, emotional intelligence, influence and feedback.
 
While stand alone workshops are effective in conveying key leadership concepts, we highly recommend cohort programs as they build esprit de corps, promote behavior shifts at the group and individual level, and encourage peer support and coaching beyond the end of the program as people and teams take ownership of change.
 
Our leadership cohort programs include:
  • Common cohorts that move through a progression of leadership development sessions to build esprit de corps. Cohort programs promote behavior shifts within functional teams at the group level, rather than just at the individual level.

  • Mixed levels of management so that senior managers mentor emerging leaders, and model advanced leadership skills to younger managers. Doing so demonstrates leadership in real time, promotes the organizational culture of leadership, and allows senior managers to work on their continuous improvement.

  • Series of three to eight sessions spaced one to two weeks apart. In each session, concepts are covered and practiced. Learning builds as concepts are applied between workshops. Leaders immediately apply concepts following each session, and can address questions or challenges that arise in the workplace and the classroom.

  •  Facilitated groups with individual coaching, peer support and feedback.

  •  Post-workshop assignments requiring on-the-job application of new skills and tools to cement the learning and give it context, so that the workplace becomes the classroom.

We know that to stay competitive, organizations must include leadership development as an integral part of their strategic planning, and coach, prepare and motivate top talent. Our methodology promotes a culture of internal leadership development that is sustainable.
